Welcome to Wyld! A vibrant continent where forests, reefs, jungles, and snow are protected by powerful guardians. Rambunctious Yonah is the only human boy to grow up among the denizens of this world. Raised by the wise and playful forest elder Tum after losing his mother as a baby, he believes the island's harmony will last forever... and ever... and boring! As though heard by misfortune, things change when his estranged father arrives leading an expedition determined to harvest Wyld's resources—shattering this fragile peace.

In a desperate act to protect the forest and his adopted son, Tum sacrifices himself, leaving Yonah with a single responsibility: protect the guardian's new successor, a frail and underestimated creature named Lumo. Suddenly alone and untested, Yonah sets out across Wyld's breathtaking biomes to seek the other guardians. But each one must decide for themselves whether a human can be trusted with the future of the natural world.

Dangerous landscapes, skeptical guardians, and ultimate destruction machines sponsored by dad? This adventure is more than Yonah ever asked for, but maybe it is exactly what he needs to become who he is meant to be. Time is running out, and the balance of nature is at stake. Yonah must discover whether courage, compassion, and love are powerful enough to unite the island... and heal the rift between humanity and the world it depends on.
